Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust is located just outside of Worcester, but serves families facing childhood cancer throughout Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire as well as providing national support through their online platforms and publications. The Trust offers emotional, practical, and financial support during and post-treatment; there is no end date to their care and support.
Their newly released awareness film for parents, carers, and GPs offers a digestible, informative presentation of the signs and symptoms of childhood cancer to look out for.
Sophie Blount, Communications Officer said, “despite being a relatively small charity, we have heaps of passion and drive to improve the outcomes for families facing childhood cancer and are excited that our collaboration with Capstone can help us reach and support even more parents, carers and children.”
Capstone have previously supported the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust with their CEO Peter Battle participating in this year’s 10K Worcester City Run to help raise vital funds for families facing childhood cancer.
The Trust receives no statutory funding so relies on the generosity of the public, partners, and sponsors to raise the £600,000 required annually to provide services to families during their most challenging time.
One of the aspects which makes the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust so unique is the fact they provide personalised support to the siblings of oncology children. To extend the impact of this support, they are currently developing a podcast series with the hope to feature children and parents who have been directly affected by childhood cancer. The new initiative aims to provide relatable, accessible content for both parents and children facing a similar journey.
There are many ways in which you can support the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust.
